“Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

AP Studio Art – Art and Fear – Let’s go to it!

YEAH!

Goals:

  • 1.1 Ad: Visualize and hypothesize to generate plans for ideas and directions for creating art and design that can affect social change.
  • How does FEAR get in your way TODAY as you begin to or continue to create art?

How have you learned to work beyond fears to create work this year? Do you find that you still have fears about the work you are creating?

Advanced Drawing: Abstraction and Pastels – Color Schemes!

Monochromatic – simple in color – BALANCED in value. How are you balancing your composition?

Goals:

  • 2.1Ac: Through experimentation, practice, and persistence, demonstrate acquisition of skills and knowledge in a chosen art form.
  • What is successful in your artwork? What is the monochromatic color scheme you are using and what is the complementary color? Share this with your neighbor. Where is your emphasis (complimentary color) going to be and why?

What is the progress of the drawing thus far? What is your neighbor doing well? What is your neighbor not doing successfully? Share your thoughts with your neighbors.

Drawing: Still Life – FAST and FURIOUS!

I will ALWAYS go to Giorgio Morandi for the CLASSIC Black and White Still Life. What’s the compositional style here?

Goals:

  • 2.1Ac: Through experimentation, practice, and persistence, demonstrate acquisition of skills and knowledge in a chosen art form.
  • What did you accomplished yesterday? Thumbnails from MONDAY help prepare ideas for more solutions and ideas

What are the differences with the different types of Pencils? What do YOU find useful from today’s exercise?

Studio Art 360: Draw what you REMEMBER!

I LOVE ART! Robert Indiana does too.

Goals:

  • 2.1P: Engage in making a work of art or design without having a preconceived plan.
