Goals: 

  • 7.1Ac: Recognize and describe personal aesthetic and empathetic responses to the natural world and constructed environments.
  • What do you need to do in order to be READY to transfer your image up to the canvas on MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY? Study Halls? After School? Before School? PROCESS!!! THIS IS HUGE!
  • ONE ADDITION TO THE HANDOUT – RESEARCH A CONTEMPORARY PORTRAIT ARTIST, Write a One Paragraph (or more) Biography about the artist, have 5 images as visual reference with TITLE, SIZE, YEAR, MEDIUM, and have VISUAL REFERENCES to their art in YOUR painting!

  • What challenges did you have in getting started this week on with the clay? REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ARTWORK: Subtractive, Additive, and Manipulation to the clay. These techniques are REQUIRED in the FINAL Sculpture Slaves Detail Planning: 

Reflection / Evaluation: What was the largest success you have in today’s work? Take a look at the rest of the classes work BEFORE we clean up. PAUSE 10 minutes before the end of class.
