ALL LATE WORK IS DUE FRIDAY – No Exceptions! Period.

Drawing: Shadows, Positive, and Negative Space

2.1Ac: Through experimentation, practice, and persistence, demonstrate acquisition of skills and knowledge in a chosen art form.

What have you accomplished this week – three days in? What strengths do you see in the hands and mind you have that will add to the work you are creating? What is a weakness? Can you resolve that over the weekend?

What do you need to begin with tomorrow?

Studio Art 360: Printing Day # 2 is HERE!

2.1P: Engage in making a work of art or design without having a preconceived plan.

What do you need to do to PRINT this hour or rework your plate to GROUP PRINT? If you are DONE printing – how are you going to use the remainder of the time to prepare a note card for the exam – Look at the HANDBOOK and understand the ELEMENTS and PRINCIPLES, color wheel, grid… One note card is your tool? Think of a question that you might have for me for the end of the class to help you with your questions…

What is ONE QUESTION I can help you with regarding the exam? Do you have any knowledge of the exam… Let’s talk tomorrow!

Advanced Drawing: Work like your ART depends on it!

Express: Learning to create works that convey an idea, a feeling, or a personal meaning.

Take a look at your previous week’s works – where did you struggle the most with the idea of the portrait? Where did you succeed the most? How do you use the ideas of chiaroscuro to better define the ideas of form (in the face especially)?

What was the most challenging way to draw? Why was this most difficult way to go? What is most important about drawing when it comes to observation? Previous works from past classes. Indoor outdoor images (Vermeer).

AP Art Show Nametags – Make a copy of this into your folder.

Review your thoughts with you neighbors about the Myth. What are your thoughts about your classmates work. Sticky Note Comments.
