If you are DONE printing – how are you going to use the remainder of the time to prepare a note card for the exam – Look at the HANDBOOK and understand the ELEMENTS and PRINCIPLES, color wheel, grid… One note card is your tool? Think of a question that you might have for me for the end of the class to help you with your questions…

Advanced Drawing: Work like your ART depends on it!

Express: Learning to create works that convey an idea, a feeling, or a personal meaning.

Take a look at your previous week’s works – where did you struggle the most with the idea of the portrait? Where did you succeed the most? How do you use the ideas of chiaroscuro to better define the ideas of form (in the face especially)?

Studio Art 360: Printing Plates and KIKI SMITH

2.1P: Engage in making a work of art or design without having a preconceived plan.

Today we are FINISHING our CARAN D’ACHE Crayons and a printing plates. What are three things you want to work on to wrap it up for the day / assignment?

Using plastic printing plates, draw with the crayons to fill the plastic plate, don;t go light, but don’t go heavy. MEDIUM PRESSURE. G: Once again… What do you need to do in order to be ready to print TOMORROW? Are you done with the crayon drawing?
