DRAWING: Kandinsky and YOUR DRAWING

1.2Ac: Choose from a range of materials and methods of traditional and contemporary artistic practices to plan works of art and design.

Take your art out – DON’T look at it. Hang it up, step back – WRITE OUT THE FIRST THINGS THAT COME TO MIND. 3 things!

How does this work relate to 1) Kandinsky and his movements? 2) Your song? We are going to be WRITING an ARTIST STATEMENT (over break) and PHOTOGRAPHING this work (DURING CRITIQUES) and OVER SPRING BREAK make some time to work on your GOOGLE SLIDESHOW PAGE (I’ll explain that over the next couple of days). BTW – FIND YOUR SONG ON YouTube! Wednesday we begin with a final critique reflection – then onto the ORAL CRITIQUE – BE READY TO TALK – FAST and FURIOUS!

Studio Art 360: Grids and Your Skills

What were the challenges you had with the process of drawing out a grid using a 1:1 ratio? Talk FIRST to your classmates about the process and then let’s chat aloud.

Advanced Drawing: Let’s Draw some SKELETON Isolation ideas – Open Composition, Conte, on Brown Craft Paper. GO!
