6th Grade: One Point Perspective

Let’s use the HANDOUT / CITYSCAPE I am giving you as PRACTICE
- Watercolor Techniques are coming up – PAY ATTENTION KIDDO!
7th Grade: Neurographic Portraits with Line and Color (perhaps)

This week we are going to look at the RUBRIC and you are going to help REDEFINE what a 4, 3, 2, and 1 is (zero will be removed and we will get a newly crafted rubric before we assess this ourselves).
RUBRIC TIME – Let’s rebuild what is good and make it better!
8th Grade 2D: Landscapes
What MOVEMENT are you working in? What is your landscape? We are going to be painting ACRYLIC on CANVAS… you are going to use the COLORS from the MOVEMENT and artist you have chosen.

- We are ALL inspired by a work of art and artist from one of 4 movements in art history.
- Impressionism
- Post Impressionism
- Fauvism
- Contemporary
- We are going to look at the standards in the Rubric and see it we can improve the student facing part of it all so it is easier for the kiddo to know about and understand.
8th Grade 3D Design: Wheel and Hand Building
Let’s look at the WHEEL! This is the second of the major projects we are working on. How are we going to schedule this with all of you in the studio?
- Step 1 – Start with a wedged potato of clay.
- Step 2 – Throw it down as close to the center as possible.
- Step 3- Use the palm of one hand and the side of the other hand.
- Step 4 – Don’t let the clay move your hands, make your hands move the clay.
- Step 5 – Spend a lot of time on the wheel
