- A: This is the last day to paint… Step back and look carefully at TWO THINGS: 1) Balance: Does the work have a sense of it? 2) Space: Is there a feeling of the space that pushed back or pulls forward in the space? How are you seeing the LAYERS of the process help you to create a successful and satisfying composition?

Advanced Painting: Encaustics and POP ART!
- G: 7.1Ac: Recognize and describe personal aesthetic and empathetic responses to the natural world and constructed environments.
- A: What have you either ENJOYED or DISLIKED about the process of using encaustics as a means / methods of creating art? How can you use this information / techniques / approach with your own future works? This is a TOOL and TECHNIQUE that you can use in many MANY future works as you create down the road.
- G: What are your plans for the future and final artwork? How are you going to make the next and final piece a WOW of a work? I need to see your plans, sketches, information ahead of time so we both know how you are moving ahead in this work.
Intro to Digital Art: How IS your ILLUSTRATION coming along?

- G: 1.2Ac: Choose from a range of materials and methods of traditional and contemporary artistic practices to plan works of art and design.
- A: How are you moving forward with the illustration? We are going to take a QUICK break from the day of illustration and look into the ideas of photography. Remember that the best camera out there is the one you have. Today we take a look at photography and MAKING A GOOD PHOTOGRAPH. We will break the camera down in advanced Digital Art so that you have a good understanding of the HOW a camera works and how you can adjust the camera to make it work and do what you want it to do. You will have ASSIGNMENTS to complete between today and the end of the semester – we will be working on them IN STUDIO as we. Today is the last day to be in studio to work on the illustration.
- G: What have you accomplished with the illustration today? Is there anything that you need to do in order to RESOLVE the illustration?
Advanced Digital Art: CRITIQUE DAY!

- G: 7.2Ac: Evaluate the effectiveness of an image or images to influence ideas, feelings, and behaviors of specific audiences.
- Present and critique your work. Open the file, save it as a JPEG, and upload it to the folder provided. Then – you will explain your process, the thoughts, the techniques, the sign you have created! Exciting to see your works!
- The FINAL ARTWORK for the FINAL EXAM is all about a SOCIAL TOPIC that is important to you. What is it that engages you? What is it that you want to communicate about it? What is the message that you feel the rest of the world needs to know about and that you can communicate? This is your time to shine! Also – what and how are you going to use the skills that you have developed to communicate that message? What you want to do with the skills that you have learned. Your assignment for next time is to come in with PLANS, DRAWINGS, RESEARCH, WEBSITES, IMAGERY (that you are creating or MODIFYING TO THE Nth DEGREE) and WHATEVER ELSE it is you need to begin your FINAL PERSONAL DIGITAL work of art. Collage? Drawings? Photographs? What are you going to do?
