Art Foundations: Assemblage and Drawing – 2 days to assemble.

G: 1.2P: Shape an artistic investigation of an aspect of present-day life using a contemporary practice of art or design.
A: Today we are looking at the progress that you have made in the planning of the work. Your responsibility is going to be working to assemble the pieces and parts of the etched work into the final compete work.
- What, specifically, are you doing to join the parts together?
- How are you using all of the ideas of the etching, jump rings, and rivets to make sure it is all done and executed well?
- SET A GOAL for yourself today and make sure you reflect on it frequently.
- STAY IN YOUR ASSIGNED SEATS
- KEEP THE CONVERSATION at your tables. DO NOT TALK ACROSS THE ROOM.
G: What were your goals for the day? Did you meet them? Please keep the larger picture in mind as you move forward in the process.

G: 1.2Ac: Choose from a range of materials and methods of traditional and contemporary artistic practices to plan works of art and design.
A: What did you think your ARTIST HABITS OF MIND was when we reflected last time. Remember that I am concerned about the idea of looking at the work from a distance – don’t get lose in the small details of the close up and think about the larger picture.
G: Accomplishments? Are you on track to have the work done in 2 more full studio times? We are going to talk about the process of the critique next time – this is a skill that you are in need of. Some are stronger than others and we are all going to work on the process of talking about the work you are creating.

A: Today you are RESEARCHING or FINISHING UP your works so that you are ready to critique on Friday. The computers and tablets are in the black cart in Mr. Korb’s office. Please use the computers, your own technology, the tablets, whatever you need. Please make sure that you are researching the artists that are on your list. This is to limit the numbers that you need to choose from – simplification. Talk to me if you are having any issues.
