CIaD: Fairy Tale (literature / social commentary) Illustrations

  • Gather in small groups today. SEPARATE FROM YOUR normal group of friends – in fact… one, two, three, four, five, six… we will gather up randomly with numbers. Today we work out ideas using the rubric – the BACK of the RUBRIC and work through a mid critique. BE able to talk about THESE QUESTIONS:
    • What is the Story / Topic of your illustration.
    • What is the SECTION/ part / meaning of the story?
    • What techniques are you using? What program are you using?
    • What have you done to make any appropriated images your own?
    • Struggles / Accomplishments?

Drawing: Outside – YEAH!

  • Sit with your RUBRIC – the 4 part FEEDBACK from your classmates – and then we will do our own Self – Reflections – That’s good to start with. Open to Page 25 – What did you get from your studiomates that helped you 1) recognize what you did well and 2) areas that you struggled with

  • What is it about the figure that you are still uncertain about? The Drawings are ALL ABOUT LOOKING and I expect you to be working and FOCUSED 100% of the time. Tuesday we watch the film and then proceed with the second part of the exercize… wait for it! G: What aspect of the drawing do you find successful? Why?
