Stained Glass: Glass Fusing and FINAL 2 Week Project

BY THE WAY: everything-stained-glass.com is a good site for your own personal research.

  • 2.1Ac: Through experimentation, practice, and persistence, demonstrate acquisition of skills and knowledge in a chosen art form.
  • 1.1Ac: Individually or collaboratively formulate new creative problems based on student’s existing artwork.
  • All of  your work in the gallery can be taken home today. Take it all! Today we load the kilm with your pendants also. What is the next big project? That is entirely up to you right? Yes – if you did the assignment and got your research in. In your handbook – Week 15 – WHAT IS THE CENTRAL IDEA BEHIND YOUR FINAL WORK OF ART? How are you utilizing at least 3 skills that you have developed over the course of the semester? Please write this out completely and thoughtfully. If I were to come up to you and ask, what would you say?

Remember that this is all you. Size? Dimensions? Proportions? Program(s). It all has to be drawn however – remember that. No Photoshopping on other peoples pictures. IT is all you (although references are encouraged).

#Congressional #ArtShow #Artists

Congratulations to Casey Fredrick and Max Nash for having their work selected to be part of the First District Congressional Art Show. An outstanding job by both Casey and Max. Congressman Paul Ryan and his staff spoke about the importance of the Arts in our culture and our society, and the hard work our young artists put into it. Congratulations to Casey and Max again. Keep making great art.

Welcome to #FRIDAY! Hope the week was PRODUCTIVE!

We have also worked with creating successful slabs by rolling them out for today. Finally, today we took all of that information and put it all together successfully and you’ve resolved your boxes.
