January 18, 2013 – Friday: Classroom Instruction that Works – Review

Classroom Instruction that Works – 2nd Edition

Goals:

  • To know how we, as teachers, currently use data proven methods described in “Classroom Instruction that Works.”
  • To be aware of and deliberately make use of the strategies presented in “Classroom Instruction that Works.”
  1. As we watch the video, think about the various student perspectives on learning and how those support / don’t support the research evidence that we’ve read about in the book.

  1. By using this Prezi Presentation, a brief summary of the 5 chapters we’ve covered, fill out your frame routines.
  2. How can we summarize points in light of how students  have commented on that particular mode of instruction.
  3. At certain points in the Prezi we can stop and have more discussion about our thoughts on the topics.
