Art Department Meeting – Why Art Education is Important

 

1. Discuss relevant, current, and important school information and how it relates to the art department and the students we serve.
2. Examine and discuss changes and updates the art department has implemented into the 2011-12 school.

AP Studio Art – Kyle Phillips

1. Work on creating a successful first composition for your Concentration #1 work.
2. Create a UNIQUE and PERSONAL techniques based or idea / rationale based goal for the hour that is clear, measurable, or observable.

Advanced Drawing – Wayne Thiebaud

1. Work on and compare the differences in personally successful pastel techniques.
2. Work on PERSONAL architectural compositions (perspective) keeping in mind and making comparisons of the challenges of en plein air and in studio work.

Painting – Edward Hopper

1. Work on and compare the differences personally successful watercolor techniques.
2. Work on PERSONAL architectural compositions (perspective) keeping in mind and making comparisons of the challenges of en plein air and in studio work.

Art Foundations – 2 Point Perspective

1. Work with 2 point perspective – perspective center, peaked roofs.
2. Know about the NON-Linear methods of overlapping and scale.
