  1. Know about the unique picture plane drawings of Jim Dine.
  2. Work on resolving and problem solving OPEN COMPOSITION.
  3. Work on using a vertical (standing) approach to drawing and compare the “seated” and “standing” approach.

Advanced Drawing – en Plein Air

  1. Work on 1- 2 en plein air preliminary drawings using a variety of techniques.
  2. Know about the challenge of en plein air versus working in the studio.
  3. Work on using a variety of art making materials and know about the challenges that lie behind them.

Painting – en Plein Air

  1. Work on successful and unique en plein air compositions (in paint!).
  2. Know about painting techniques that were helpful / challenging in your last composition.

Art Foundations – Positive / Neagtive Drawing – Combined FINAL Portrait

  1. Work on creating visual examples of space.
  2. Know about the compositional use of the ELEMENTS of Space and Form.
  3. Work on RESOLVING Line / Pattern Portraits.
