AP Studio Art, Advanced Drawing  – Ai

  1. Know about the Art Opportunities through the Art Institute (amongst other colleges).
  2. Know about some of your plans for beyond high school.
  3. Work on giving Mr. Carter Schultz your FULL and UNDIVIDED and RESPECTFUL attention during his entire presentation.

Painting – What are theprocess we need to go through to properly stretch watercolor paper? With a neighbor – go through the process and write it down.

  1. Know about stretching of Watercolor Paper.
  2. Work on stretching watercolor paper.
  3. Work on (if time allows) getting outside to experience en plein air sketching.

 

Art Foundations 2DPatterns

  1. Work on successfully using the art principle PATTERN to create a personal background for your portrait.
  2. Work with your classmates to review and analyze Chapter 8: Pattern and successfully and complete the unit organizer.
  3. Know about the classroom expectations for the remaining sketchbook assignments. (See below).

NOTE: Sketchbook Modifications for all classes! Two grades will be earned for sketchbooks: Execution (mastry of materials) and composition (arrangement of elements through principles in art). Each is worth 50% of the final grade and allow you to track your levels of ability and learning in the process. ALSO: Three questions must be answered: 1) What challenged me in this sketch? 2) What was successful in the sketch? 3) What was my HONEST level of effort? (1-5 like on goal sheet, 5 being high 1 being low or A – F like in your report cards).
