Hello ARTISTS! Have a seat and get ready for a NEW ASPECT to the class – an OLD ASPECT of Mr. Korb’s previous world.

Ralph Waldo Emerson. “Every artist was first an amateur” https://www.brainyquote.com/photos_tr/en/r/ralphwaldoemerson/108800/ralphwaldoemerson1-2x.jpg

6th Grade: Boxes. These are our final days.

BOXES BOXES BOXES. Let’s make sure that we are woking to finish them up.

Thank you VAUGHN NELSON for the inspiration – It is ALWAYS good to see CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS and their work!

7th Grade: Assessment is coming up fast… what do you need to finish?

We are working on the PORTRAITS and you are wrapping things up. Color schemes were a NEW THING last time and we need to make sure that you are using them PROPERLY. What questions are there about the COLOR SCHEMES that I can answer?

8th Grade 2D Design: Wrap Up (QUICKLY) NAME TAGS and Line work!

Originality and Unique work are part of the process we are thinking about here. How are you using the ideas of the Zentangle and / or Parabola to make this work your own?

Think about how Santiago Calatrava used the Parabola as he designed the Milwaukee Art Museum. Unique – YES. Original – YES. His Own – YES!

8th Grade Sculpture: Wheel Throwing is here!

2 things on the plate today… Wheel and Hand building. Time to get to work.
