Art Foundations 2D – Phillip Glass
TODAY: Watch the video above and write down your goals. We are going to PUSH the remainder of the Chuck Close Video to tomorrow (finish it up). You have 33.5 minutes to work. At the end of class I want you to, in your comments of today’s goals, answer the questions below. Now… Enjoy the video, write your goals, get to work (in your assigned seats) and then wrap up with the comments. Get to it!
- 1.2 Create art that demonstrates an understanding of how your ideas relate to the techniques (colored pencil layering) and process (grid and drawing) you are using.
- Work on Mathematical Ratios and Transferring images / blending colors.
What is the color scheme you are using – label on the bottom of the page. What is the reason you have chosen the image you have chosen? What are the challenges you have been having with this process? What colors have you begun using and how easy / hard has this been for you?
AP Studio Art – Still Life to Come
- Work on assembling AP Art Portfolio.
- Know about and finalize artist statements.
How did you go about choosing the best works for the QUALITY section – to mount and prepare? Are you ready for the exam? Can you present all your works tomorrow if you are not taking the exam?
Drawing – Fabric
- 4.4 Evaluate and interpret art for relationships in form and context.
- Know how fabric folds over the human figure that emphasizes folds, proportion, and chiaroscuro.
How did you begin with light gestural drawings ALL OVER? Did that help you push the idea as you continued working it on the paper? How are you dealing with the entire composition / all sides of the paper? Are you?
