Art Foundations 2D – Horizon Line
- (1.2.3) Create art that demonstrates how the ideas relate to the process (2 Point Linear Perspective – Windows and Doors – Wall Thickness) you use. (We will see this one for a while – watch for the subtle variations)
- (6.3) Use the principles and techniques of art with those from other disciplines (architect – landscape, movies)
Of all of the NON-LINEAR perspective techniques we have spoken about… which one did you use today when you were given the opportunity to draw your own cube? Did it work to create the illusion of depth more successfully than just drawing the cube in 2 Point Perspective?
AP Studio Art – Jim Dine (Korb’s Fallback on GREAT Art)
- (3.3) describe the creation of images and ideas and explain why they are of value.
- (4.2) describe the purpose and meaning of art objects within different cultures, times, and places.
Drawing – Still Life Drawing
- (1.4.1) Create, define and solve visual challenges using analysis (breaking up the object).
- (1.1) Apply technique and process with an awareness that your ideas are executed well.
If you finished your mannequin drawing, what object(s) from the box did you choose and why? Whick type of composition did you choose to use? Why? What do YOU hope to gain from the idea of a still life drawing (chiaroscuro / figure ground / positive and negative space)?
