Artists – Your goals are going to sound a bit different, and you may feel as though you are seeing a similar one more often than you normally might. This is because we are going to be using the National Visual Art Standards as a basis for the GOALS. Rather than me (Mr. Korb) rewriting clever and NEW ways to get to the point, I will be using GOALS that have been set up. While the phrasing may be different than the National Visual Art Standards, the ideas are very much the same. 1 extra credit sketchbook if you come to me after the fact and tell me one of the SPECIFIC National Visual Art Standards from the link above…

AP Studio Art – Artist at Work

  1. Create visual art (breadth) that focuses on the Elements and Principles OR Mark Making to solve specific visual problems (Macro / Micro, Continuous Line Contour, Sketchbook assignment – work 3).
  2. What is your PERSONAL goal (higher lever thought) for the day?

Advanced Drawing – Group Crit. Visual

  1. Reflect on personal interpretations of artworks as a means of understanding and evaluating works of visual art.
  2. Evaluate and defend the sources (images, symbols…) of and techniques (ways in which materials have been used) behind the completion of visual art.

Painting – Group Crit. Visual

  1. Reflect on personal interpretations of artworks as a means of understanding and evaluating works of visual art.
  2. Evaluate and defend the sources (images, symbols…) of and techniques (ways in which materials have been used) behind the completion of visual art.

Art Foundations – Ellipse

  1. Apply technique and process with skill, confidence, and sensitivity that your intentions are successful in your visual art.
  2. Identify intent (learn 2 point perspective), purpose (create form on flat picture plane), and evaluation (how’d you do?) of visual art.
