In your Journal portion of the goal sheet, please reflect on the challenges you have had this week as we have begun to synthesize the ideas of the city-scape. What have you had the hardest time with? What has been the easiest thing for you to do.

Requirements for Cityscape Drawing:

What is the THEME to your city? Who are you and how do we read about your interests by looking at the city?

  1. 5 Buildings: 1 skyscraper, 1 Frank Gehry inspired
  2. Doors and windows showing the inside of them on at LEAST 2 buildings.
  3. Sidewalk with squares that recede properly
  4. Stairs – at least 3 steps if not more.
  5. Pitched roof on 1 of the buildings – MUST have an overhang.
  6. Street Signs (Stop, Yield, Kangaroo Crossing… things like that).
  7. Signs on the Buildings (what kind of stores do you have?)
  8. Light posts, telephone posts, things like that.
  9. Means of transportation (does it HAVE to be a car?)
  10. Inhabitants (do they have to be PEOPLE?)
  11. Ellipses
  12. Cantilevers
