My goals for the classroom are based on the Visual Arts National Standards, simplified and unpacked for the high school students (and BY the high school students). Most importantly, they are not agenda items, but rather things I hope the kids walk out of the classroom understanding better when it comes to their artwork. 1.4 create, define, and solve visual challenges using 1.4.1 analysis AND 1.4.2 synthesis (breaking up the artwork / subject matter to basic elements and putting them back together in a composition)
