LAST WEEK of #Art! Have you come close to hitting your #GOALS?

Welcome Home Mom!

“Every problem has in it the seeds of its own solution. If you don’t have any problems, you don’t get any seeds.” —Norman Vincent Peal

What SEED do you have that you can be planting to help grow great solutions? http://turkeysong.files.wordpress.com/2009/12/buckeye-seed-and-buckeye-trees1.jpg?w=640&h=480Art Foundations

Art Foundations:

What do you think Romare Bearden is TALKING about in this collage? https://artwithkorb.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/466d9-artwork_images_291_766323_romare-bearden.jpeg

GOALS: BEFORE YOU WRITE YOUR GOALS… WHAT DO YOU THINK BEARDEN IS TALKING ABOUT IN HIS COLLAGE “110th Street Harlem Blues”?

  1. 1.2 create collages that demonstrates an awareness of how your ideas about BULLYING relate to the materials, techniques, and processes you use. Are you at a good spot in how you are creating your collage? Describe in ONE SENTENCE how you are successful in the creation of the visual message.

What sorts of imagery have you come up with to help communicate your message regarding BULLYING? How is the imagery and Craftsmanship working for you?

Drawing:

Roger Medaris – American Regionalist. What is Medaris doing that OTHER Regionalists did? What is he doing that is different than what YOU are going to do? http://www.artandcointv.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/rogermedearis.jpg

Goals:

  1. Apply YOUR CHOICE OF media, techniques, and processes with skill, confidence, and awareness so that YOUR ideas are executed well.

A LOT to reflect on today. How have you been able to improve your drawing and idea skills more in the past year? What do you know about COMMUNITY? How can you use it and alter it to develop a unique and intriguing composition. What did Thomas Hart Benton and Other Regionalists teach you about society, community, and Composition? How did they reflect their communities?

AP Studio Art:

Goals:

  1. 6.1 compare aspects of the visual arts with aspects of other disciplines

How have you been able to do A LOT of work in one day that you may not have been able to in the past? How have you been able to improve your drawing and idea skills more in the past year than you have in the past? What has AP brought to you that all your years of making art have not?
